Using Media Sites to Build Links
We have all heard of search engine optimization. The real secret, however is to create content that will attract links to your web site. Link building is all about concepts that result in pleasing reactions from the readers. The same skills in copywriting that you employee in creating content for your web site can help you to promote your site as well.
The main thing to consider when creating your content is to put something in it for the reader. No one is going to link to your site unless there is something in it for them. When considering online marketing, know your audience and what appeals to them, and then incorporate what you learn into your web site content to attract your target audience.
One of the fastest ways to attract attention resulting in links is to use home pages such as Digg, Delicious Popular, Reddit, Magnolia, and Fark, if your content is a little off the beaten path. Another site that can also be used to draw traffic to your web site is PopURLS. When using sites such as these, especially Digg, you want to make sure you come up with a catchy summary for the description. The better your summary, the more likely someone is going to be drawn to your web site.
