Methods of Building Links
As most SEO companies know - or even just individuals interested in search engine optimisation know - it’s all about links. Link building is the single, most important and somewhat fundamental element when it comes to SEO.
Of course, getting links back to your website is no easy task. No for free anyway! The best way, in my view, to get good backward links is your content. If you invest time into your content and make it informative, you will more than likely get links naturally. If you’re article is good, people will link it, it’s that simple. Whilst this will get you a lot of links, you’re not going to get “targeted” links i.e. links containing your desired anchor text. This is where the problem comes in. To get links with the specific text to boost your search rankings, you’re going to need to ask people to link you. You can do this two ways. You can either buy links from relevant websites for your keyword or you can participate in link exchanges. Link exchanges are a great way to get links as it’s mutually beneficial for you and the other party, however be warned, simple page to page or reciprocal links are lower in value to their one way counterparts.
